Admin Console: Managing Metadata, Languages, and Default Settings

Setting the Default Language

The language users encounter when accessing your platform is crucial for a comfortable and intuitive browsing experience. Catering to a diverse audience requires offering content in multiple languages. Adding new languages expands your platform's reach for wider readership and inclusivity. However, optimizing your platform goes beyond just language settings. It also involves paying careful attention to metadata, which comprises critical elements contributing to your platform's overall appeal and functionality.

Adding New Language and Metadata

Locate and click on the Metadata and Languages tab.



Locate the Add New Language feature. Click on it to access options for adding a new language to your platform.


Language

Choose your preferred language from the language selection dropdown menu.


Site Title

You can enter or edit your platform's title to accurately represent its identity.


Site Description

The Site Description is a brief summary of your platform's purpose and content. It gives visitors a quick overview of what your platform offers, enticing them to explore further.


Terms of Service

The Terms of Service is a document that outlines the rules and expectations for using your platform. It protects your platform and creates a fair environment for all users. Make sure it is clear, legally sound, and easily accessible to everyone.


Input your desired copyright text to protect your content.


Logos

Enhance your platform's visual identity by adding logos.
In the Header Logo section, upload an appropriate image to visually represent your platform's branding at the header.


Similarly, in the Footer Logo section, upload an image for the footer logo to maintain consistent branding throughout your platform.


Favicon

Enhance your platform's identity further by uploading a favicon. This small but impactful image will be displayed in the browser's address bar and tab.

Click on Save Changes.


Editing Metadata and Language

1. Locate and click on the Metadata and Languages tab.



2. Click the three-dot icon located to the right of the desired metadata.



3. Click Edit from the displayed menu



4. Modify the desired changes in the metadata and language page
5. Click on Save Changes to save the modifications.


Deleting Metadata and Language

1. Locate and click on the Metadata and Languages tab.



2. Click the three-dot icon located to the right of the desired metadata.



3. Click Delete from the displayed menu.



4. Confirm the message to complete deletion.
Note: You cannot remove the default language that has been set during the bookstore's creation process.
