Introduction
The Book History section lets you see all the edits and changes
made to your book. You can find out who made each change and when. It also lets
you compare different versions.
History Table
This table shows a summary of all the changes. It lists the
action taken, what was changed, who made the change, and when it happened. This
gives you a quick view of all the editing done on the book.
Filter Options
You can use filters to focus on certain changes:
- Filter by
Person: See changes
made by a specific person.
- Filter by
Chapter: Look at changes
in a certain chapter.
- Click on Filter
to apply your filters.
- Clear Filters: This resets all filters and shows
the full history again.
Comparing Revisions
1. Click Book
History at the top right of the edit page.
2. In the history
table, click on a chapter's link to compare its revisions.
3. You'll see a
revision comparison interface.
4. Choose two
revisions to compare using the radio buttons and decide which revision
goes on the left and which on the right.
5. Click Compare.
6. The interface
will show the differences between the two versions. Changes are
highlighted in color.
You have two viewing modes:
- Unified: The default view shows changes
in color.
- Split: A detailed side-by-side
comparison
Alternatively, you can use Compare Full View for a more
detailed look in a new tab.
