Chapters on Hold in Authoring Studio

With the Chapters on Hold feature, you can temporarily pause editing a specific chapter. When you choose to use this function, the chapter is moved from the Table of Contents to a designated area in the right menu called Chapters on Hold.

Note that chapters on hold are intentionally excluded from the publishing process to prevent unintended publication while you make changes.

Step-by-Step Guide

To access the chapters on hold, simply click on Chapters on Hold, located on the right-hand side of the Table of Contents, near the top of the page.



When you hover your cursor over a chapter in the Chapters on Hold section, three controls will appear: a left-pointing arrow to Unhold the chapter, a trash icon to Delete it, and an Edit button for making modifications.

Management of Chapters on Hold

By clicking on Chapters on Hold, you can:

Edit: Use this option to make changes to the selected chapter.



Delete: Select this option to remove the chapter.



Unhold: This option will return the chapter to the Table of Contents as an independent chapter, even if it was previously categorized under a section.
