How to Insert Pictures and Videos into Your Document

Guide to Media: Adding Images and Videos in Authoring Studio

Adding pictures and videos to your document makes it more visually appealing and helps explain your content better.

Locating Insert Media

Look for the Insert Media icon in the editing toolbar and click on it to start adding media.


Insert Media Options

In the Insert Media modal, you'll find three tabs.

1. Media Library

View all media that has been added to the book.

  1. Use the search box to find media by file name.

  1. Hover over an image to see an arrowhead icon; click on it for more options: Download, Rename, or Delete.



  1. Select an image or video to view its File Name, Last Modified Date, File Size, and Dimensions.

  1. Edit the caption of an image or video by clicking the Edit Caption option.

  1. Insert the selected media into your chapter by clicking the Insert button.

2. Upload Image

  1. You can drag an image into the modal or click on or Select Them from Folder Button to pick images from your computer.



  1. Click on Insert to upload them to your chapter.

3. Upload Video

  1. Click on Choose File to select the video you want to use. Set its size by typing in its width and height. Then click on Upload Video to add the video to your library.







  1. Once your video is uploaded, click on Insert to add it to your chapter.

After these steps, the media you chose will appear where your cursor was in the text.

Delete all Attachments

You can delete all media at once with the Delete all Attachments option if you need to.
