How to Import Books into Studio

Importing a Book into the Authoring Studio

Currently, you can import books into Studio in two formats: EPUB and Microsoft Word (.docx).
EPUB, short for Electronic Publication, is a widely used e-book format that adjusts the text to fit any device you're reading on.
Note: Remember that not all EPUB books are free to use; some have strict copyrights. Always check the copyright status before importing an EPUB file.

Importing a Book into the Studio

1. Go to My Dashboard and click on the Create Book button to start the new book creation process.

2. In the third step of the wizard, select Import from DOCX or EPUB. This lets you add content from a DOCX or EPUB file directly into your new book, making the process faster and easier.

3. After the import is complete, the book will appear in your My Books and My Dashboard lists.

Note: You can also import DOCX files directly into a book chapter in Studio. Check out the related article for more information.
